Garden Sunflowers In Pitcher

I was inspired to capture the beauty of my garden's sunflowers by exploring the full range in which I applied the pastels... from wispy, transparent layers to the thick, impasto type marks in the petals. After taking in the sunflowers, I want viewers to get a sense of the pastel medium itself by seeing the contrast between thick and thin pigment on paper.
