Pastel painting of a grain field, used a light yellow wash to tone the surface. Most of the light details of the grass is done with medium hard pastels, with softer pastel used for the beginning layers. Growing up in Kansas, the dancing golden fields of wheat are a common sight which knowledge I used to produce this piece.
