Beckoning Light
The inspiration for this painting came from a friend's garden It was a jumble of weeds and overgrown flowers, but the turquoise gate caught my imagination, as well as the contrast in light. Since the home is in Colorado, I took advantage of creating a scene with our mountains in the distance, even though her home is in town without such a view.
