Morning Tide

I work with acrylic underpainting and apply clear gesso on top for the application of soft pastel. I keep the underpainting loose and apply marks that replicate movement and flow. This image showcases my love of the ocean and shore. The fluidity of the water against the stability and grounding of the rocks invites the viewer to settle in and feel the beauty that nature provides.
