Beaver Lake Lily Pond

I am fortunate to live by a beautiful park that has a lake in the middle of it complete with a beaver family. At sunset you can see the beavers swimming around and about their home. It is a magical place filled with all sorts of birds and most of all I love the lily pads. There are several varieties of pond lilies and the one in this painting is called Nuphar lutea and is native to North America. It is round in shape and the most beautiful yellow colour.
