Chasing Shadows

I under painted with watercolor inks which gave me a beautiful saturation of color to begin. As I began to paint with pastels, I wanted the interplay between the cool shadows in the foreground with the warmth of the sun in the distance. I enjoy choosing angles that are unique so the viewer is taken into the painting in a way they might not experience while walking on the beach.
